I'm still somewhat new to the sport, especially compared to some of the folks on this team. I got my start in paintball about 5 years ago playing some pickup speedball in Oregon once every couple of months, but didn't really dive in head first until hooking up with the ORTAC folks for some renegade ball and eventually joining one of their teams - The WalkOns. I had the pleasure of learning from them for a good year and a half until work brought me home to California. Since then I've played solely with OCMI and put in an app to join the team nearly a year later at the end of 2007.
Most of my gear is setup as a limited ammo load out centered around a 50 round hopper. I enjoy the strategy aspect of the game the most although oddly enough I prefer to just be one of the grunts rather than helping to shape the plot's course. I'm not much of a roleplayer, but I enjoy a good continuous storyline where I feel as though there is a sense of purpose, forward momentum, and accomplishment. Someday I hope that milsim scenarios will come to Southern California. |
