So, got my first tattoo this weekend:




As the ­script­ure reference says, it's a shortened version (I don't have 24" pythons like the Hulkster) of Eph 6:17 The reason I chose this one is because of the idea behind the statement itself. The Word has such power and comparing it to a sword in the way we as Christians are pruned, or cleaved of so much baggage and unnecessary personal issues and pains and personality/character flaws when we decide to do things according to God's Word and not our own whims and fancies......just, wow..for me. The second part of this is that I'm a sword fiend. I love swords and have started an Asian sword collection (I study martial arts as well).

For those curious, the actual unedited reference reads:
17and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God... (ESV)

Kebtiz, it's nice to have another Irishman around here, although the fact that I'm Protestant (Orangeman), we're probably from different sides of the tracks.
