I am going to just head to Viper's from work instead of going west the Expo's then to north. Viper said it will cool for me to leave my car at his place for the weekend so I should have no problems getting there by 1900.

Also, are the wildfires going to mess with our travel route at all?

If we were leaving today, we'd be FUBAR'd. I think it will be fine by Friday, but working in the news biz and having my nights greatly effected by the fires at work, I'll post a "travel update" Thursday night.

Edit: Holy jeebus...I just looked at the map location and its like another hour past fresno. They really spared no expense in finding the most secluded place possible didnt they.

If we get there at 7 it will probably take us about a half our to get everything situated and going.

It's really only about 30 to 40 minutes outside of Fresno. The field location is awesome. A cattle ranch in the foothills of the Seirra Nevada mountains it looks something like the hills of Brea and Yorba Linda. Rolling hills with Oak trees spread throughout. However being central California there are random outcroppings of large rocks and because of the log flum running down the eastern tapeline there is a good amound of pine trees as well on that side of the field.just like we played the game last year ­base­d on We were soldiers-the field looks just like the movie
