Looks like I have the benefit here since I'm still running my old school 98....haha....who ever thought I'd be saying that. By the way if y'all still need some bodies for this one I think I could work out a special trip down to OC to swap paint with some of my old OCMI buddies

I've been on TKD's site seeing if any of them will be playing. They are trying to put together a team for this event too, however they dont look like they will have the numbers to make a team either. If we can get some of them to team up with us or vise versa, we could have enough people. We just need to figure out the uniform situation.

Thoughts about teaming up with them?

then give all the players 98 rentals

lol i was actually thinking that. just give everyone a rental

People would throw a fit over that. However this would be the most "fair" way to do it.

Definitely an idea but I still think that we will be able to get at least 10 of us there. Lets see how thing go through december and reacces the situation as the new year gets closer.

Hello OCMI,

I hope you all had a great Holiday.

First I want to thank all the players that got involved in our gun
rule question.

It became pretty heated at times. Check out some of the boards

http://for...dex.php?showtopic=162509

Lots of great ideas were suggested. Some old and some new.

Our goal in building this league was to make it a player’s league, one that the players felt they had a hand in building.

We wanted to take the best of the other leagues and combine then into ours. SPPL, TacTen, (NPPL “R.I.P.”)

The biggest sticking point turned out to be the gun rule.

So we have narrowed it down to two things we are interested in trying at the next event on Feb. 15th.

We want your team to discuss it among yourselves, and come up with your teams answer.

Please e-mail the answer to me, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Then we will look at all the other team’s answers and come up with a majority ruling.

Again nothing is in stone. We will try the majority ruling at our next event, if it turns out to be successful we will keep it in.

What are the two items?

1.SPPL approved hopper and marker, shooting at, but not above 15 bps.
With random checks during the day, and players being disqualified for cheating.
“ See SPPL rule below”

2.Player can only carry two pods of paint rounds per game.
If player runs out of paint, they cannot leave the field and are still considered a target.

What we are going for is skill vs shooting ropes of paint.

Fairness, sportsmanship and the players overall satisfaction, was our main concern when starting the W.T.L.

With your help and guidance we know this will be a true player’s league.

Thank you again for all your help and support.

David Justin
President
W.T.L.

I think these rules are very fair for all sides of the argument. It would allow any marker to be able to compete, while the 2-pod limit would make sure that laning wont be the main tactic, but it would still be a usable one.

And for anybody worried about high ROFs still, the allowed hoppers don't allow electros to shoot all that fast or consistently.
