In S. Vietnam during the afternoon of Day 1, a kid stumbled on me hiding under a bush. I didn't hear him coming behind me through the sand.

He fired down on my left leg. The first shot bounced...so he fired again.

I don't blame him for not offering surrender. I probably would've shot one of the nearby guys I had my gun trained on. A barrel tag would have been nice though.

In all fairness my knee pad probably aggravated during day 2.

Man, that looks brutal. I never get those kinds of bruises, even when shot with a bounce at a few feet away. I am not sure why, but the worst I ever get is a minor discoloration.
