When I first got my xbox and had no HDTV I bought that same cable you posted yeti. That should work fine with your monitor. My monitor had a button on the side that would let me switch inputs.computer used dvi and xbox was on VGA. The only thing that suck is trying to figure out how you are going to get sound.

Bought the cable and hooked it up last night. My k/d ratio instantly tripled.
My monitor doesnt have speaks so I had to buy one of those Turtle Beach X31 headsets that plug into the controller. Works great for game sound but I cant hear incoming chat transitions. Friends can hear me talk but I cant hear them. I unplugged the headset and plugged it back in and I could hear incoming chat, but once I said something I could no longer hear freinds talking. Any help is appreciated.

Have you change the voice output to speakers? If no then try changing to speakers and that should fix it.
settings>preferences>voice>voice output>play through speakers

It's true. We had a 4 man fireteam of doom going on last night. 2 medics, an engineer, and a sniper. The whole other team grew weary of their beating quit.
