Smart Parts Freak All-American 14" Barrel Kit

Empire Revvy Hopper w/ Sound Board

Draxxup Midnight paint

OK, time for the review.

The ION worked FLAWLESSLY! The trigger is quick and with the Freak Barrel system, the rounds were right on target. For me this was the first marker in about 5 years that didnt break on me right out of the box, so that was a definate PLUS.

I was able to perfectly match the paint to a .682 sleeve insert, and I did not break any rounds at all in any of the 2 cases of paint I shot. With everything perfectly matched I was able to achieve very nice accuracy, even at shots over 100 feet away. Which brings me to the next thing, its range.

I was amazed by the range I was able to achieve with this marker. For those who have played at Jungle you know there is a decent amount of distance between the beginning of the city field and the new crossfire field. I was putting shots from the 2nd row of buildings on city all the way into the center pipe on crossfire, which exceeds 100 to 125 feet - and the rounds had enough power behind them to still break on target shooting at 280 - 290 fps.

For anyone looking into a "high end" marker with a small budget, I highly recommend the ION. It has MANY upgrades available to it along with accessories that wil allow you to achieve the "milsim" look with aa speedball marker. For around $200 for the stock ION, you can get a great marker at a low price.
