Originally my dad has a Midland CB that he got back in the 1970s that still works. So when I went looking for two-way radios for paintball I turned to them first.
A year ago this was the top of the line. At 5 watts of power and a 14 mile range there is no paintball field that you will play at where you will ever be out of range from your team. It is a relatively small device that has excellent durability. My buddy took a paintball shot directly to the radio at a 4 to 5 foot range. It activated the call button but the radios still works fine.
This radio has 22 channels and 38 privacy codes per channel. It has 5 call tones, NOAA weather alert, external jacks for headsets, and a keypad lock. Just to name a few of the features.
I got mine for close to $60 on the Midland website but they sell the radios an nearly any Best Buy or Sport Chalet.
