Cover and Concealment Defined: a. Cover – The protection from the fire of hostile weapons – Paintball Guns b. Concealment – The protection from observation or surveillance... NOT fromhostile fire.
Basic Principals: - Remain motionless when observing
- Use all available concealment -- Always conduct yourself as if you were being watched.
- Observe from the PRONE position – A low silhouette makes detection difficult.
- Expose nothing that glistens – Reflection reveals location... Make sure your Mask has a Visor.
- Blend with your background – Contrasting colors are very noticeable.
- Stay in the shade – Moving shadows attract attention.
- Break up your regular outline – Ghilli or attach natural brush to your equipment.
- Keep away from the skyline or ridge lines
- Speak softly without whispering – whispering can be heard at a distance.
- Avoid delay by moving boldly and rapidly when firing is going on – take advantage of and all sounds to to rapidly push forward... noises such as firing distant or near, wind rustling leaves... etc.
