Cover and Concealment Defined:

a. Cover – The protection from the fire of hostile weapons – Paintball Guns
b. Concealment – The protection from observation or surveillance... NOT fromhostile fire.

Basic Principals:

  1. Remain motionless when observing
  2. Use all available concealment -- Always conduct yourself as if you were being watched.
  3. Observe from the PRONE position – A low silhouette makes detection difficult.
  4. Expose nothing that glistens – Reflection reveals location... Make sure your Mask has a Visor.
  5. Blend with your background – Contrasting colors are very noticeable.
  6. Stay in the shade – Moving shadows attract attention.
  7. Break up your regular outline – Ghilli or attach natural brush to your equipment.
  8. Keep away from the skyline or ridge lines
  9. Speak softly without whispering – whispering can be heard at a distance.
  10. Avoid delay by moving boldly and rapidly when firing is going on – take advantage of and all sounds to to rapidly push forward... noises such as firing distant or near, wind rustling leaves... etc.
